Haste Spell crashes game

Hi, I bought the Haste Spell and am trying to use it while playing the "Ghosts" settlement.  I tried it twice so far.  Both times it completely crashed the game.  I am playing on Mac.

yes, there seems to be a glitch with haste spell. we're working on it! meantime, try not to use this particular spell. sorry for the inconvenience.

Any progress on fixing the "Haste Spell"?  I'm on a Macbook and it also crashes the game when I try to use it.  Is this a problem only on Macs?

the fix was submitted to our distribution partners. I believe that new version is available already. To be sure, please contact your vendor for more information how to patch your current version.

I downloaded the "fixed" game from Macgamestore, but the fix did not work.  When I tried to use the "Haste Spell" the game froze up and then crashed.  I use a Macbook with Snow Leopard 10.6.4, 2.1GHz Intel Core 2 Duo.
